Shounak Abhisheki
View ProfileShounak Abhisheki is a Hindustani classical vocalist and composer, the son and disciple of the late Pt. Jitendra Abhisheki. His khayal blends the Agra and Jaipur styles, following early training under Smt. Kamal (Kamaltai) Tambe of the Jaipur gharana. Alongside khayal he sings semi-classical and devotional music, and tours thematic programmes such as Swarabhishek, Tulsi Ke Ram and Kabir built on his father's compositions.

A Diwali morning tribute to the late Pandit Jitendra Abhisheki, presented by Para Share Entertainments at Meydenbauer Center Theatre in Bellevue. Vocalist Shounak Abhisheki is joined by Abhed Abhisheki and Makarand Hingne for a retrospective of Pandit Abhisheki's compositions, devotional works, natya sangeet and classical repertoire. The program runs approximately 160 minutes including intermission, with hot breakfast available for purchase before doors open.
