Souryadeep Bhattacharyya

Souryadeep Bhattacharyya is a sarod virtuoso based in San Jose, California, trained in the Maihar gharana under the legendary sarodiya Pandit Alok Lahiri through the Guru-Shishya Parampara. He began his musical journey at age four under the late Jayanta Roy Chowdhury. An empaneled artist of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), he is an All India Gold Medalist in Instrumental Music and holds Senior and Junior National Scholarships from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. He has performed at Lincoln Center in New York, the Chicago Cultural Center, and major Indian classical festivals across the US and India.
