
Sri V. Sai Raghavan is a renowned Carnatic mridangam vidwan who has shared the stage with the foremost musicians of Indian classical music. Beginning his musical journey at age six, he received initial tutelage from the late Sri Kumbakonam Rajappa Iyer and subsequently pursued advanced training from Maestro Sri Patri Satish Kumar in Chennai. With over 1,600 performances to his credit as both soloist and accompanist, Raghavan is among the most sought-after percussionists in Carnatic music. He is equally adept in traditional South Indian classical presentations and cross-cultural Indian-jazz collaborations, and is also active as a composer, educator, and researcher.
