
Meera Sreenarayanan is a professionally trained Bharatanatyam dancer based in Mumbai, originally from Guruvayur in Thrissur district, Kerala. Hailed a child prodigy, she began learning classical dance at age five, had her arangetram at age nine, and began her performance career at age eight. Her training began under Prakash Choondal, followed by R. L. V. Anand and Kalakshetra's Nirmala Nagaraj; she continues advanced training with Indira Kadambi and explores navarasa sadhana with G. Venu. She holds a Gold Medal and Master's degree in Physics, a Master's degree in Bharatanatyam, and a Diploma in Nritya Shastra. Her recognitions include the Guru Smt. Poonamtai Murdeshwar Smruti Puraskar and the Best Performer Award from the Madras Music Academy. She is the founder of Tatdhii Arts and Learning, an initiative promoting classical performing arts and interdisciplinary exploration between dance and science.
