Krishnarao Shankar Pandit (1894–1989) was a leading vocalist of the Gwalior gharana, known for his mastery of Khyal, Tappa, and Tarana. He was also a respected guru, founding the Shankar Gandharva Mahavidyalaya and training many notable musicians, including his sons and granddaughter. A recipient of the Padma Bhushan and Sangeet Natak Akademi Award, he made significant contributions to Indian classical music as a performer, teacher, and scholar.
