Biography

The Times of India reports that Kabra was the first musician to perform a Hindustani raga on slide guitar. Kabra sought training from Ustad Ali Akbar Khan and practised intensively while adapting sarod technique to guitar. Kabra recorded Call of the Valley with Hariprasad Chaurasia and Shivkumar Sharma. Debashish Bhattacharya spent ten years training with Kabra. Kabra died in Ahmedabad on 12 April 2018.
