Jiva Performing Arts

Jiva Performing Arts is a New York City-based organization founded in 2007 that preserves and evolves the classical arts of India through performance, education, and community engagement. The organization operates Jiva Dance, a critically acclaimed dance company under artistic direction of Sonali Skandan, and the Akshara Music Ensemble. They offer classes in Bharatanatyam dance, Carnatic violin, and Mridangam, along with workshops, master classes, and community programs that make Indian classical traditions accessible to diverse audiences.
