Pandit Uday Bhawalkar (born 5 February 1966, Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh) is one of India's foremost Dhrupad vocalists, renowned for his deeply meditative and traditional approach to raga presentation. He trained for over 12 years in the guru-shishya parampara under Ustad Zia Fariduddin Dagar and Ustad Zia Mohiuddin Dagar, the towering pillars of the Dagarvani Dhrupad tradition. A recipient of the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award (2021), he is based in Pune and is widely credited with contributing to the global revival and recognition of Dhrupad.
