Bansuri

Purbayan Chatterjee is one of India's foremost sitar players, representing the Senia Maihar Gharana. Trained by his father Pt. Parthapratim Chatterjee and the legendary Ustad Ali Akbar Khan, he also received vocal training from Pt. Ajoy Chakraborty. A recipient of the Indian President's Award and Aditya Vikram Birla Award, Purbayan is known for founding Shastriya Syndicate, the first Indian classical music band.
