Nrityagram Dance Ensemble: KHANKHANA (Joyce Theater run)

India's foremost Odissi dance company, the Nrityagram Dance Ensemble presents Khankhana ("the sound of dancing feet"), a program celebrating rhythm and remembrance performed to an original live score. Led by the choreographic vision of Sangeet Natak Akademi Award-winner Surupa Sen, it brings together acclaimed works alongside two world premieres at The Joyce Theater.

Bringing together a constellation of acclaimed works, both new and beloved, and two World Premieres, Khankhana features the choreographic vision of internationally renowned Odissi artist and 2018 Sangeet Natak Akademi Award-winner Surupa Sen. Her work reveals a singular language of movement, at once meditative and dynamic, rooted in tradition yet deeply contemporary.
