Cup O' Carnatic with Jayanthi Kumaresh

Carnatic veena artist Jayanthi Kumaresh presents her Cup O' Carnatic show at MIT Kresge Auditorium in Cambridge, MA on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at 6:00 PM, presented by MITHAS. The show adapts Kumaresh's online series of the same name, which has drawn more than eight million views by breaking Carnatic concepts into short segments. Onstage she pairs veena performance with narration and everyday comparisons - likening a percussionist's role to a tennis rally, for instance - so the material lands without prior musical knowledge. Projections and lighting design accompany the performance.
