Ustad Amjad Ali Khan is a legendary Hindustani classical sarod maestro and sixth-generation musician of the Senia Bangash gharana, whose ancestors shaped the modern sarod. Awarded the Padma Vibhushan (2001), he has performed at Carnegie Hall, the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony (2014), and Royal Albert Hall, and tours worldwide with his sarod-playing sons Amaan and Ayaan Ali Bangash.
