Biography
Vitthal Ramchandra Sardeshmukh was born on 4 July 1911 in Brahmgaon in Ahmednagar district. He received his initial musical education from Rajarampant Munde of Miraj. As a singer, he cultivated the Kirana vocal style. At Bhave School in Pune, he taught Sanskrit and also taught singing to selected pupils. Vijay Sardeshmukh was initiated into music by his father, Vitthalrao Sardeshmukh. He died on 6 April 1981.
