Vignesh Ishwar is one of the leading young vocalists of Carnatic music, endowed with a sonorous voice and a compelling stage presence. He began vocal training at the age of four under Palghat T S Anantharama Bhagavathar (TSA) in Mumbai, with whom he studied for nearly two decades, absorbing a rigorous and methodical foundation. Since 2008 he has trained under T M Krishna, relocating to Chennai in 2011 to deepen his study of manodharma and raga exploration. An engineer by training, Vignesh holds a master's degree from Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, where he researched melody extraction in Carnatic music through the CompMusic project, and is a collaborator at Musicmuni Labs. He performs across India and around the world and is active in initiatives such as Svanubhava and the Urur Olcott Kuppam Vizha.
