Biography
Ustad Qasim (Qasem Jo, 1905–1957) was a legendary Afghan musician who blended Hindustani classical music with Afghan folklore. Trained in the Gwalior gharana, he served as court musician to Afghan rulers and composed the national anthem used 1992–2006.
