Biography
T. Viswanathan was a renowned Carnatic musician, specializing in the flute and vocals. As the grandson of the legendary Veena Dhanammal and brother of the famous Bharatanatyam dancer T. Balasaraswati, he hailed from a highly respected musical family. He was instrumental in bringing Carnatic music to the West, teaching at several American universities and training numerous foreign students.
