Srijanee Banerjee is a Hindustani classical sitarist from Kolkata. She began her training in early childhood under her father, Shri Chandan Banerjee, and later received advanced instruction from the late Pandit Ravi Sen and Dr. Niladri Sen. Since 2014, she has been a Senior Scholar at the ITC Sangeet Research Academy, studying under Pandit Partha Chatterjee. Her performances emphasize structured raga development, combining alap, jod, and gat-based presentations with clarity and tonal control. She has received the Sitar Kesari award from the Gokul Nag Memorial Foundation and a National Scholarship from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, and has performed at major venues and festivals in India, Germany, Spain, and Japan. She also holds an M.A. in Modern History (first class first) from the University of Calcutta.
