
Sikkil Gurucharan (born June 21, 1982) is a celebrated Carnatic vocalist from a distinguished musical family — grandson of Sikkil Kunjumani of the acclaimed Sikkil Sisters flute duo. He received intensive training for over 12 years under Vaigal S. Gnanaskandan (1990–2005), a disciple of Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer and M.M. Dandapani Desikar, and subsequently studied advanced techniques under Maha Vidwan B. Krishnamurthy of the Mudicondan School. A recipient of the Kalaimamani Award (Tamil Nadu Government, 2020), Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar, and the Nehru-Fulbright Excellence Award (2015), he has performed globally and contributed to the Grammy-nominated album 'Miles from India'. He is also known for his innovative collaborations bridging Carnatic classical music with contemporary genres.
