Siddharth Ashokkumar

Siddharth Ashokkumar is a violinist and music educator based in Brooklyn, New York, with over 20 years of Carnatic violin training. He is a disciple of Sangita Kalanidhi Sri Lalgudi GJR Krishnan. He initially learned violin from Smt. Ranjani Swamy and vocal from Smt. Lalitha Venkat in New Jersey, and has traveled extensively through India to learn from disciples of the Lalgudi tradition, including Srinivasa Murthy and Sri Vittal Ramamurthy. A sought-after soloist and accompanist, he has performed across the US, India, and Canada, including during the December music season in Chennai, and collaborates with the Brooklyn Raga Massive and raga-based fusion ensembles.
