Biography

Suman Laha is a Kolkata-born Hindustani string player taught in the Senia tradition by Pandit Shyamal Chattopadhyay. He performs Dhrupad-based music on a veena variation of his own design and has appeared in major conferences in India as well as tours of Europe. Based in the United States since 2001, he performs for musical organizations and universities and teaches Indian classical music.
