Sangeet Mishra is an eighth-generation sarangi master from Varanasi, representing a continuous lineage of excellence in the Banaras Gharana. He received his initial training from his father, Pandit Santosh Mishra, and advanced training from his grandfathers Maestro Bhagwan Das and Maestro Narayan Das Mishra. Recognized as a child prodigy, he mastered both the tantrakari and gayaki styles of sarangi playing. He has performed with stalwart vocalists including Ustad Raza Ali Khan, appeared at the Sawai Gandharva Festival in Pune, and collaborated with Padmashree Sitara Devi. Sangeet has an active international performance schedule spanning India, Australia, and New Zealand.
