Sandipan Samajpati

Sandipan Samajpati is a distinguished Hindustani classical vocalist of the Kirana gharana, known for his mesmerizing kheyal and thumri renditions. He holds Top-Grade status from All India Radio and Indian National Television (Doordarshan), and was the first vocalist to receive the prestigious Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar (2006) from the Sangeet Natak Akademi. Samajpati has performed at major festivals including the Sawai Gandharva Sangeet Mahotsav in Pune and the Dover Lane Music Conference in Kolkata. He has released recordings including "Rising Star Sandipan Samajpati (Classical Vocal)" and is based in Naktala, Kolkata, where he also teaches vocal music.
