Ramkumar Mohan

Ramkumar Mohan is a Carnatic classical vocalist and one half of the renowned Trichur Brothers duo, alongside his brother Srikrishna Mohan. Sons of veteran mridangam artist Trichur R. Mohan, the brothers were introduced to Carnatic music from early childhood. They received initial training from Madurai Shrimati Balamani Eswar and Shri Thamarakkadu Govindan Namboothiri, followed by advanced training in Manodharma singing from Late Professor Neyyattinkara Mohanachandran. They then came under the guidance of Padma Bhushan Shri PS Narayana Swami for over a decade. The title "Trichur Brothers" was conferred by HH Jayendra Saraswathi Maha Swamigal of Kanchi Mutt. The duo is known for their uncompromising Bhavam, orthodox pataanthara, and a unique style of raga delineation in which both singers exchange phrases in tandem. They have toured North America extensively, performing in over 30 cities across the US and Canada.
