Rachna Bodas

Rachna Bodas is a Hindustani classical vocalist of the Gwalior gharana, recognised for a rich, pure and resonant voice, and has performed to acclaim in India and abroad. She grew up surrounded by music and was encouraged by her father, Shri Ravi Shankar Shukla, an accomplished tabla player in Kanpur. At twelve she took first place in the All India Light Vocal Music Competition held in Delhi by the Sangam Kala Group. She trained under Pandit Kashinath Bodas and the late Vidushi Dr. Veena Sahasrabuddhe of the Gwalior gharana, and holds a Master's degree in Music along with Sangeet Visharad from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal.
