Biography
Palani Subramania Pillai (1909–1962) was a renowned Carnatic music percussionist, considered one of the "Holy Trinity of Mridanga" along with Palghat Mani Iyer and Ramanathapuram C. S. Murugabhoopathy. He was a master of the mridangam and kanjira, and was the disciple of his father, the celebrated Palani Muthaiah Pillai.
