Patiala
Medha Basu is a Hindustani classical vocalist of the Patiala-Kasur gharana. She joined the ITC Sangeet Research Academy as a Junior Scholar in 2017 under Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty and Shri Brajeswar Mukherjee, and is presently a Scholar at the Academy. She began her musical journey under the tutelage of her mother, Smt Sujata Basu, and subsequently trained under several eminent teachers at Shrutinandan before starting lessons under Guruji Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty at ITC Sangeet Research Academy. She is a recipient of the National Scholarship in Hindustani Classical Music from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, and performs in classical, semi-classical, and modern repertoire in concerts, television shows, and recordings.
