Mahesh Kale (born 12 January 1976) is an Indian-American Hindustani vocalist specializing in classical, semi-classical, and devotional music, including Natya Sangeet. A disciple of Pandit Jitendra Abhisheki of the Agra gharana, he trained under his guru in a gurukul setting for over eight years starting in 1991. Kale's early musical education was guided by his mother, Smt. Meenal Kale, a disciple of Veena Sahasrabuddhe. He won India's 63rd National Film Award for Best Playback Singer for the song Aruni Kirani from Katyar Kaljat Ghusli. He is also the founder of the Mahesh Kale School of Music (MKSM), headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area, serving over a thousand students worldwide.
