Gayathri Sathya

Gayathri Sathya is a Carnatic vocalist hailing from a family of music connoisseurs from Lalgudi. She was initiated into Carnatic vocal at the young age of seven by Shri Manakkal S. Rangarajan and later came under the tutelage of Sangeetha Bhooshanam, Sangeetha Acharya Late Shri O.V. Subrahmanyam. She presently studies with Sangeetha Acharya Shri O.S. Thiagarajan. Gayathri started performing concerts in her teen years and has since been performing widely in India and the United States, including regular appearances at many of the leading sabhas in Chennai during the December Music Season. She holds a Master's Degree in Carnatic Music Vocal and is also a certified Ayurvedic Health Counselor. She is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
