Biography

Pudukottai Dakshinamurthy Pillai (1875-1936) was a renowned mridangam and kanjira artist in the Carnatic tradition. He was a disciple of Pudukottai Manpundia Pillai and became a respected guru himself, with his students including the legendary Palani Subramania Pillai and Palghat Mani Iyer.
