Pudukottai Dakshinamurthy Pillai (1875–1936) was a celebrated Carnatic mridangam and kanjira artist and chief architect of the Pudukottai style. A disciple of Manpoondia Pillai, he became one of the foremost tala accompanists of his era, performing with the Kariakkudi Brothers, and mentored luminaries including Palani Subramania Pillai and Palghat Mani Iyer.
