
Bobby Singh is an internationally acclaimed tabla player based in Australia and the first Indian musician to receive an ARIA Award. Born and raised in England, he spent much of his childhood in Mumbai studying at Sangeet Mahabharati, the music institute founded by tabla maestro Pandit Nikhil Ghosh. He became a disciple of Aneesh Pradhan, one of the most sought-after tabla players in the world, who nurtured him over three decades into a mature and internationally renowned performer. While grounded in traditional Indian classical music, Bobby collaborates across genres and has performed alongside cultural icons including Grammy-winning slide guitarist Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Slava Grigoryan, John Butler, Billy Cobham, Joseph Tawadros, and The Cat Empire. He has been sharing his art with the world for over forty years and is one of the most sought-after musicians on the Australian world music circuit.
