Anandi Bhattacharya

Anandi Bhattacharya is a Hindustani vocalist and rising star in Indian classical and world music circles. Daughter of celebrated slide guitar virtuoso Debashish Bhattacharya, she began training at age three under her aunt Sutapa Bhattacharya and gave her first radio performance at four. She subsequently received advanced training under Vidushi Shubhra Guha, a leading exponent of the Agra gharana. Her debut album Joys Abound (2018) received widespread critical acclaim and earned her a Songlines Award nomination in 2019. She has toured internationally alongside her father and uncle and collaborated on the fusion album Beyond The Ragasphere.
