Anahita & Apoorva

Anahita and Apoorva, a sister duo from Chennai, India, are highly acclaimed Carnatic classical vocalists. They received their initial training from their grandmother, Smt. Shanthi Jayaraman. They further honed their skills under the guidance of the renowned Sangeet Samrat Chitravina N Ravikiran and Acharya Ratnakara Chitravina Shri Narasimhan, delving into complex musical theories and techniques.

As child prodigies, they have captivated audiences worldwide with their seamless synchrony and emotive performances. They have toured extensively across India, the USA, Australia, New Zealand, and the UAE, performing at prestigious venues and festivals such as the Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana. Their collaborative concerts with other eminent artists have been widely praised, and their music has reached a global audience through digital platforms and recordings, including a highly-rated AIR National Programme.

Anahita and Apoorva are recipients of numerous accolades, including the CCRT Scholarship from the Government of India and the prestigious MS Subbulakshmi Fellowship from the Shanmukhananda Sabha in Mumbai. They have been honored with titles such as 'Shanmukha Shiromani' and 'Isai Chudar'. Beyond their performing careers, they are dedicated teachers, sharing their knowledge with students globally and contributing to the preservation and innovation of Carnatic music.
