Amol Nisal, popularly known by his honorary title "Amol Gandharva," is a Pune-based Hindustani classical vocalist who made his solo debut at the age of seven. The title "Amol Gandharva" was conferred upon him by Bhajan Samrat Shri Anup Jalota when he was barely thirteen. He received intensive training under Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty of Kolkata, a doyen of Hindustani vocal music, and also learned under the guidance of Guru Pandit Gangadharbuva Pimpalkhare of Pune. An engineer by profession, Amol is the founder of Swaraninad, an institution that imparts training in vocal, instrumental, and dance forms. He was selected as a cultural ambassador of India to Latin American countries through a Rotary International scholarship. He is also an awardee under the Cultural Talent Search Scholarship Scheme in Hindustani Vocal Music from the Center for Cultural Resource and Training.
