Aldo Minella

Minella was born in Milan in 1939 and began learning guitar with his father, later studying with Miguel Abloniz. At 17, Minella met Andrés Segovia and continued advanced musical study with him. In 1963, he made his American debut. He taught guitar at the Civica Scuola di Musica Claudio Abbado from the early 1960s until 2014. Sharon Isbin began her guitar training with Minella. Minella died at his Milan home on 10 September 2021.
