Biography
Ustad Abdul Karim Khan (1872–1937) was a renowned Indian classical singer and founder of the Kirana gharana. Known for his melodious and meditative style, he mastered the slow melodic development of ragas and brought a leisurely grace to thumri renditions. He was among the first Hindustani musicians to incorporate Carnatic elements into his singing.
