The New York premiere of SPEAK, a groundbreaking collaboration between Indian kathak and American tap dance. Created by kathak virtuosos Rachna Nivas and Rukhmani Mehta alongside tap legends Michelle Dorrance and Dormeshia, this 90-minute performance weaves rhythm, poetry, storytelling, and live music into a cross-cultural dialogue. Featuring world-class Indian classical musicians alongside jazz instrumentalists, SPEAK honors legendary artists like Pandit Chitresh Das and Dr. Jimmy Slyde while centering powerful contemporary female performers.
