Sriranjani Santhanagopalan

Sriranjani Santhanagopalan (born c. 1990) is an Indian Carnatic vocalist based in Chennai. The daughter of renowned Carnatic vocalist Neyveli Santhanagopalan, she began formal training under her father at the age of 17 in 2007. Her training emphasized manodharma (creative improvisation), including ragam, neraval, swaram, ragam tanam pallavi, and viruttam singing, alongside rigorous study of the traditional kriti repertoire. With over 17 years of performance experience, she has captivated audiences across India, the USA, Europe, UK, UAE, Singapore, and Australia through concerts, workshops, and lecture-demonstrations. She is the founder of Tapasya School of Music, mentoring over 70 students worldwide. Her digital series "A Musical Navaratri" has garnered over 3 million views. The Madras Music Academy awarded her the Outstanding Vocalist title in 2016 and 2019, the Senior Best Vocal Concert award in 2022, and the Outstanding Lecture Demonstration award in 2023.
