Mewati
Aditya Shah is a Boston-based Hindustani classical vocalist of the Mewati gharana, born in 1994. Recognized as a musical prodigy, he was discovered and personally mentored by the legendary Pandit Jasraj, joining the esteemed Mewati gharana lineage. His primary gurus are Pandit Rattan Mohan Sharma and Pandit Radharaman Kirtane, both direct disciples of Pandit Jasraj, placing Aditya in the direct teaching lineage of the maestro.
In 2013, at age 19, Aditya received the "Mewati Pradeept" award from the Pandit Jasraj Institute, making him one of the youngest recipients of this prestigious honor. His talent has earned admiration from luminaries including bhajan singer Anup Jalota and former President of India Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.
Aditya has performed at prestigious venues worldwide, including the Nehru Centre in Mumbai and the Pandit Motiram Maniram Sangeet Samaroha in Hyderabad. Beyond Hindustani classical music, he demonstrates remarkable versatility as a Western classical pianist and vocalist, performing in seven different languages.
A graduate of Dartmouth College, Aditya balances dual careers in music and technology with remarkable dexterity. His journey exemplifies a synthesis of excellence, academic rigor, and cultural heritage, as he remains committed to propagating India's musical traditions and honoring his gurus' legacy.
